Dragon Ball Kai ep 63 - In Pursuit of Dr. Gero... Find the Mysterious Laboratory!

Episode sources

Story

Cyborg #20 blasted Bulma, Yajirobe, and baby Trunks out of the sky. As all were blinded by the attack, the slippery Artificial Human made his escape on foot to his laboratory, to apparently awaken two more Cyborgs -- #17 and #18, the two from Trunks' apocalyptic future. Trunks manages to rescue Bulma and his infant self from the blast, furious that his father did nothing to defend his lover and child.

"Why didn't you rescue your child?! They could have died!"
"Well obviously they didn't... you're standing right here."
PARADOX

Meanwhile, Bulma drops science on everyone by telling them she recognized #20 as Dr. Gero himself. Furthermore, she read in one of her dad's "science magazines" that Gero's lab is located at some undisclosed location, high in the hills south of Metro North.

Dr. Gero, who also recognized Bulma, begins shitting himself when he realizes he should have never given that exclusive interview in Evil Genius Monthly. And so the race to Gero's lab is off!!

But not before completely removing Gohan from the plot for the next twenty or so episodes.

Speaking of being removed from the plot for extended periods of time, let's check in with Son Goku, who is probably doing something way more awesome despite currently dying.

Yup. Way more awesome.
Thanks, Goku.

Piccolo, Kuririn, and Tenshinhan arrive in the hills where Gero's lab is located before anyone else. After splitting the Senzu among each other, they split up to search for Gero's lab.

Gero, however, reveals himself to Kuririn by attacking him.
But when he merely sees Piccolo fly by, he decides not to kill Kuririn, instead rushing off to his lab... which would only... lead Kuririn... right... to... it.
"For a scientist, he's pretty fucking stupid."

What's cut?
The dramatic return of Farmer With a Shotgun.
This time, it's Gero who catches his bullet, in DBZ 133.
