It's Dragon Ball's 30th birthday! Well, the anime, anyway. 30 years ago, on February 26th 1986, Dragon Ball episode 1, "Goku and Bulma", aired on FujiTV. Movies and Specials (Top 7 Saturdays)

Top 7 Saturdays No. 5
Movies and Specials

Dragon Ball, frankly speaking, probably has too many Movies and Specials. And to the uninitiated, they can be a confusing thing, since the vast majority of Dragon Ball "Features" are non-canon. There was a time (in the 1990s and 2000s) when there was an easy enough way to figure out something's canon-ness; Was it a Movie or a TV special? Movies were non-canon What If stories, and TV specials were completely canon side stories. Sure, the OVA could sometimes confuse people, because they usually didn't know what it was, but figuring out what is what was simple. Then Battle of Gods happened, and now we have canon Movies. But I digress.

Video Games

Dragon Ball has a lot of video games. Almost too many video games. They could give long standing video game franchises a run for their money, as far as number of released titles go. To which I'll ask you kindly to never doubt me again. I have lived and breathed Dragon Ball games (or as I call them, Games With Goku On The Cover) since they started regularly coming Stateside via Infograms.
