Back at Kame House, Kuririn and Muten Roshi do their daily exercises, as Bulma works on a new invention, and Lunch brings them all something to drink. As Kuririn and Roshi break for drinks, Lunch inquires as to what Bulma's project is: "This is a Son-kun surveillance device!" With a new Dragon Radar built-in, the device will track down Goku and show them what he's up to! "You're amazing, Bulma!" Kuririn says in awe. Bulma brushes it off modestly, but Roshi insists...

Son Goku can't afford to take three years to steal the Super Spirit Water from Karin-sama, as it took Muten Roshi. Upa is counting on him to defeat Tao Pai Pai, steal back the Dragon Balls, and resurrect Bora. "If you can't wait, then you'll need to hurry and steal this jar from me." Karin tells Goku, as he prepares to take a cat nap for "three days or so". But Goku hasn't given up yet!

"Did you smell something weird just now?" He asks Kuririn. "No..." "Oh, that's right. You don't have a nose."

Goku makes it to the Mini-Sub just as Bulma begins to descend. Kuririn calls out to him, and thus Goku is safe! But in trying to escape from the collapsing cave, the Mini-Sub runs out of gas... Bulma and Kuririn are certain they're done for, when Goku hands Kuririn his mouse friend, and tells them to hold their breath.

Dragon Ball ep 49 - Lunch-san in Danger

Muten Roshi contemplates how best to get Lunch naked so he can use his Micro-Band to peep on her. He starts to run a bath, and approaching Lunch (who has been doing house work all day) he suggests she take a break from cooking and enjoy the bath herself. She's grateful, but wants to finish cooking. Roshi insists, saying adding spices is his specialty, and attempts to wrench the pepper from her hand.

Dragon Ball ep 48 - General Blue Begins Attacking!!

Commander Red orders General Blue to attack Kame House, kidnap Roshi (who they think is the scientist providing Goku with his Dragon Radar), and steal the Dragon Balls (which Bulma left behind in her backpack). Blue elects to split his force into two. One squad to go after Goku, Bulma, and Kuririn, and find the next Dragon Ball, led by Blue; The other squad to attack Kame House, led by Captain Dock.

Goku spends the night at Suno's house, and as he'll be saying goodbye to Goku in the morning, Hachan stays as well. The Dragon Radar still isn't working, so Goku has made up his mind to take it to Bulma in Metro West. When Hachan inquires how Goku will get there, Goku says he'll walk. Suno is rightly shocked about this, but resolves to pack Goku as many lunches as possible.

Dragon Ball ep 42 - Imminent Danger!! Go for it, Hachan

After the fall of Muscle Tower, Goku, Hachan, and the Village Chief of Jingle Village are treated to a home cooked meal, courtesy of Suno's mother. Suno's father wonders where the Dragon Ball might be, and Hachan reveals that he had the Dragon Ball the entire time (the 2-star ball). He found it and hid it away from the Red Ribbon Army, knowing of their plans to murder the villagers after they found the ball. Goku and Hachan are lauded as heroes, and the Village Chief offers them a home with he and his wife. Goku declines, saying that the 2-star ball isn't the Dragon Ball he's looking for. Hachan, while visibly touched at being accepted amongst humans as an equal, declines as well... as he'll never know when the bomb inside him will explode.

Dragon Ball ep 41 - The End of Muscle Tower

General White isn't ready to give up the Village Chief of Jingle Village to Goku, thereby ending the Red Ribbon Army's search for the Dragon Ball in that area. He knows the kid is strong, but also that he spent a lot of energy fighting Buyon... so White hedges his bets and (despite fervent protests from Hachan) readies for a fight against Goku.

After encountering General White at the top floor of Muscle Tower, the sneaky Red Ribbon Army leader sent Goku and Hachan falling (via dastardly trap door) into the hidden room below! White makes Goku a last offer - hand over his Dragon Ball and Dragon Radar, and he'll spare his life. Goku rejects his offer fervently. So White closes the trap door, and summons the guardian of the 5th floor... He's pink, he's round, has antenna, and he'll eat you...

Dragon Ball ep 37 - Enter Ninja Murasaki

Upon reaching the 4th floor of Muscle Tower - a strange, darkened room filled with trees, grass and a pond - Goku is greeted by a flurry of flying kunai and shuriken. The lights turn on and the walls open into windows, letting the sun shine into the room, and the taunting voice of Murasaki congratulates Goku on his victories thus far, but assures him he will go no further. Using lightning quick speed, the ninja darts across the room, using stealth to assault our hero. But thanks to Goku's keen senses (honed by Muten Roshi), he is unable to connect a killing blow.

Dragon Ball ep 36 - The Terror of Muscle Tower

Son Goku enters Muscle Tower (on the second floor), to the taunting and jeering of General White (over the tower's radio) and his soldiers. The soldiers ask if they can kill the kid who was so brazen to break into their stronghold, and White gives them the greenlight. Now I know we all know what happens when a group of thugs says they're going to kill Goku - but that doesn't make it any less entertaining to see.
