Dragon Ball Z ep 219 - A Slithering Conspiracy!! Gohan's Power is Stolen

Gohan decides not just to go Super Saiyan, but to go further beyond the wall of Super Saiyan. (aka Super Saiyan Grade 5 Super Saiyan 2.) Everyone in the crowd is utterly shocked by the transformation.

Shapner and Eraza can't believe Gohan is the Golden Warrior.
And neither can Videl.
Chichi promises everyone even more surprising things!

Waiting in the wings are Spopovitch and Yamu...
Kaioshin uses telekinesis to lock Gohan in place, so the duo can begin taking his energy. Kaioshin pleads with everyone to trust him and not intervene.
Some people listen better than others.

After absorbing Gohan's energy, Spopovitch and Yamu fly off. Kaioshin says he's to follow them, and asks Goku and the others to come with him for the oncoming fight. Goku and Piccolo agree at once, though Kuririn has to go tell his wife #18. (18 decides to stay and win the Tenka-ichi Budokai, but tells Kuririn to leave if things get too nasty.)

Vegeta wants nothing to do with Kaioshin's business, he just wants to settle his fight with Kakarotto. So Goku tells Vegeta to come with them, and they'll have their fight over there. Vegeta reluctantly agrees.

Videl runs to Gohan's side as Kibit begins to heal him a la the Dende method. (Sparkly hands.) They too leave to follow Kaioshin and the others, with Videl wanting to go along to finally get some answers from Gohan. Gohan makes her promise to leave when things get dangerous.

As they fly off, Mr. Satan sees his daughter...
"She's f-f-f-f-f-f-flying!!! I know I should have grounded her."
(*da dum tiss*)

Our heroes catch up with Kaioshin, who begins to explain the situation at hand; Long ago, when earthlings were just beginning to walk on two legs, there was a devilish warlock named Bibidi. One day he accidentally conjured a dangerous creature into existence, Majin Boo. (Goku comments that "Boo" sounds like a fart.) Majin Boo had no reason or feeling, and did nothing but perform destruction and savagery over and over. He and Bibidi turned many planets into worlds of death.

Vegeta thinks he says like a Saiyan and, reading his mind, Kaioshin assures him not so. Any Kaioshin - there used to be five, though four were killed by Boo - could have killed Freeza with one blow. (Then, uh, why didn't they?)

Majin Boo's ferocity was even more than his creator could handle, so Bibidi sealed him away so he could rest, on the world that was to be their next target - Earth. During this time, Bibidi was defeated and killed by Kaioshin. Unwilling to disturb Majin Boo's seal, lest they accidentally let him free, he was left alone, with the thought that the only one who could free him was long dead.

Except that Bibidi had a son named Babidi. And now the warlock Babidi seeks to unleash Majin Boo.

Put them together and what have you got? Bibidi, Babidi, Boo.

  1. So Kaioshin's great strategy of putting a stop to Babidi meeting the frutitions of his plans is:

    1. Allow his minions to steal the energy of someone really powerful (who ended up being Gohan).

    2. They follow them.

    3. ???

    4. Profit

I like how Goku is totally on board with two roid-raged freaks stealing his eldest son's energy even though he doesn't know of their intentions.

    >Then, uh, why didn't they?

Freeza is small potatoes. All he did was kill off inhabitants from various planets to expand his territory. Majin Boo was not only a threat to the universe but he was also a threat to all existence and even directly challenged the Kaios.

  2. Supreme Kai is a dumbass, and this episode proved Goku is a terrible father.
