Forty-one years ago...
In our heroes modern day, Goku, Pan, and Giru find themselves in yet another fishing village on their hunt for the Dragon Balls and their Evil Dragon guardians. Nothing seems particularly out of sorts with this village, compared to how corrupted and toxic Liang Shen Long's domain was.
That is, until fish start falling from the sky.
"Oh, what the fuck!"
The villagers have begun to worship a strange Princess they call a Goddess (Princess-Goddess? Goddess-Princess? Well okay.) who lives out a sea, rides the wind, and sends them fish from the sky to feast upon and sell in the next city over. So they spend the days drinking instead of working. Obviously, the Princess is an Evil Dragon, so this means that they had, max, two days to completely lose their shit and become lazy, drunken fish mongers.
... Yeah, I guess that's enough time.
Introducing Bish. No really, that's his name.
Bish is the son of a local fisherman-turned-drunk who has been tending to all the birds that the supposed Goddess has been harming with her winds. Goku and Pan figure what she's got to be, but before they can go looking for her, she shows up and knocks some fishermen around.
Liu Shen Long, the Six-Star Dragon.
Like the others, she appears to recognize Goku. But Goku, having had chats with the other dragons about their origin, asks her which wish created her. Reluctantly, she tells him it was their first wish... Oolong's wish for a pichi-pichi gal's panties.
Incredible.
"Kuretsu kidan!!"
Liu Shen Long attacks Goku with her Kuretsu kidan technique, which Goku avoids but narrowly. He throws a punch directly at her in retaliation, but it does nothing. Leaping back, he fires a Kamehameha, but she blocks that as well. Neither Goku or Pan can hit her; It's as if she has some kind of barrier.
In an instant between attacks, Goku observes the secret of her barrier - she's actually spinning at lightning speed, creating a shield of constantly churning wind.
... but then Goku's clothes get ripped up and he gets his balls out.
(Yes, yes, we get it.)
Goku (redressed, at Pan's insistence) fights back at Liu with insane cartoon physics.
But not even the power of the Merrie Melodies can save Goku now.
(Wicked.)
It's only when Pan leaps above her, and shoots a Kamehameha into the eye of Liu Shen Long's storm, that Goku has any opening.
With a double Kamehameha, Liu Shen Long is beaten, utterly.
... but not before showing her true form.
(Decidedly less wicked.)
The fishing village back to normal, Bish's dad agrees to sober up, and Pan and Bish make a date to teach him how to fly next time he's by Mount Paozu. With the Six-Star-Ball theirs, it's three down, four to go.

Liu Shen Long might be my fav out of the Evil Dragons. I like her design, her particular abilities, and the wish that gave her life is the funniest shit ever.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. She's a really fun character, and I have way too many extra screencaps of her for the eventual BONUS update. Her expressions kind of look like Broly, when he's in Base form. I think it's her eyes. But of course, she's much more expressive than him after her reveal, because she's a good character lol

Red Ribbon arc, wish to revive Bora, train for the second Budokai. Four years.
Piccolo Daimao returns and falls, Goku trains with Kami. Seven years.
Third Budokai, marriage, Gohan, reunion at Kame House. Twelve years.
Train to fight the Saiyans. Thirteen years.
Namek and Freeza, waiting for Goku to come home to Earth. Fourteen years.
Train until the cyborgs arrive. Seventeen years.
Saiyans and Piccolo all spend time in RoSaT, but the era doesn't change. Still seventeen years.
Cell 'tournament', Goku dies, Gohan starts high school in the city. Twenty-four years.
Buu saga, Spirit Bomb, Goku's fifth Budokai. Twenty-nine years.
GT decides it needs a time jump. Thirty-four years.
The so-called Grand Tour of the universe. Which brings us to a total of thirty-five years.
Where are the other six coming from????
