Dragon Ball Z ep 194 - One More Conclusion!! I Will Defend the Future

Although the present era is safe and peaceful, Trunks' era is still being terrorized by the Artificial Humans #17 and #18. Though weaker than their present era counterparts, they have none of the conscience of those cyborgs, and go on killing and destroying simply for the fun of it. It was they that killed Son Gohan (for some reason his super awesome hidden power never showed itself in that timeline? Well okay then.), Trunks' friend and teacher, and the rest of the Z-Senshi of the future.

Trunks has finally come home to his own era, where he regales his mother Bulma with the stories of his time in the past. She's surprised to hear Vegeta would show such emotion at the loss of his son, and sad that despite their best efforts, Goku still died. Then on the radio, a report about the Artificial Humans comes on. And for the final time, Trunks goes to confront the murderous duo.

An old man tries to avenge his family by shooting 17, to no avail.
... but before 17 can retaliate, Trunks arrives!
And this time, he means business.

After years of terror and torment, Trunks has at last destroyed #17 and #18. Only a single Artificial Human now remains...

Some time passes in peace before Cell arrives.
But of course, Trunks is ready for him...!!
... much to Cell's surprise.
Trunks takes them both far from Metro West, for this final duel!
Cell begins to summon a Kamehameha!!!
"May you be completely obliterated!!!"

At long last, the fight is over. Now the future can finally see peace...

That is, until Majin Buu shows up and eats everyone.

Meanwhile, Goku plays with Gregory and Bubbles
But they're both too fat and weak outside of Kaio's planet's gravity.
And finally, Kaio-sama has completed his new house!
... and Goku breaks it by gently nudging it.
Don't look so downtrodden, Kaio-sama!
The Cell Saga is finally over!
(Thank fuck.)

  2. "for some reason his super awesome hidden power never showed itself in that timeline?"

Maybe because, well, you know... everyone is dead and he pretty much had to train on his own for years, and he had no daddy to babysit him in ROSAT?

    1. Not only that, but I presume he hadn't trained in the 3 years before the Android's arrival either.

    2. I guess. You would think everyone being murdered would be enough to send him over the edge to his full power, but then a lot of things about Trunks' timeline are dubious.

    3. How do we know that wasn't his full power? As I mentioned before, he most likely hadn't had the benefit of rigorous training for 3 years prior to the Android's arrival, AND he hasn't had the benefit of training in the ROSAT. If I'm not mistaken, he turned Super Saiyan rather early in the ROSAT training, so he had lots more training to go before he exited, so naturally his power would have been higher, yada yada...

    5. But wasn't Trunks an infant when all that happened?

Oh and there's nobody in Trunks' timeline for Bobbidi to possess and do his betting most likely.Even so, Trunks would just kill them.

    6. He wouldn't need to possess anyone, he has Dabra. Dabra = Cell, according to Goku. Which means it would only take Dabra to beat Trunks for energy until Majin Buu is born.

    7. Assuming a bulk of Boo's energy came from SSJ2 Gohan having a tanker full of his energy being stolen and from the battle between Goku and a possessed Vegeta.

All combatants are significantly stronger than even Full-Powered Perfect Cell so I don't think Dabra's prowess alone would be enough to resurrect Majin Boo to his fullest. Besides, Trunks can just ignore Bobbidi since the little bugger was hiding out and he can't sense ki.

    8. That's just like asking why Goku didn't turned SSJ when Kuririn died for the first time. He had the rage, but not the power to ascend.

  3. You know, I've just had an interesting thought. If you go into the ROSAT for 48 hours in one time period, can you go for another 48 hours in another time period?
