Dragon Ball Z ep 192 - I'm Going to Train In the Next World!! A Smile at Parting

Gohan and his friends have finally beaten Cell. With Gohan, Trunks, and #18 in their arms, the B-Team Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Kuririn make for the Heavenly Realm, where the Dragon Balls and Dende wait for them. Piccolo pauses, looking back at Vegeta, should he need any help. Vegeta immediately denies needing any such help, so with a smirk, Piccolo flies off.

But as soon as Piccolo leaves, Vegeta's drops all posturing.

"Damn you, Kakarotto! ... Dying the way you did...!" His voice cracks.
"I'll never fight again."
Broken, Vegeta flies off to parts unknown.

Meanwhile, Mr. Satan has taken full credit for the victory against Cell.

At the Heavenly Realm, Gohan and 18 have their wounds healed by Dende. 18 is shocked to see everyone around her, and slightly caught off guard by their talk about how Kuririn looked after her. (And how he ~fancies her~) She refuses to be grateful or as she puts it, 'clasp her hands together and say thank you'. And with that, she flies off... until the sight of a darkening sky catches her off guard, and she turns around to watch, as...

Shen Long is summoned.

Everyone killed by Cell, even Trunks, is revived by the Dragon Balls. Everyone except for Goku (and Kaio-sama, Bubbles, and Gregory, for some reason. Maybe because they were -technically- killed by Goku?), as Shen Long has already returned him to life once. But never fear! Porunga can return him back to life!

But Goku doesn't want to come back to life. After everything that's happened on Earth, Goku wonders if the world might not be safer without him around in it. Bad guys always seem to be drawn to him, after all. And since he's getting to keep his body in the afterlife, he'll have all sorts of strong guys to train with in the Next World.

But first, he has to eat; He's so hungry, he could die!

"Um... I'm still awaiting thy second wish..."

  1. I was just re-reading the manga after amf's comment, and it actually says there that Kaio and Bubbles were wished back, but the anime never did. Weird. I guess it's to set up for the tournament filler? But uh, still, they don't need to be dead for that silly Toei.
