Story
Even after all their hard work assembling the ultimate Super Genki Dama, Son Goku doesn't have the strength necessary to hit Majin Boo with it.
Mr. Satan, even under threat from Vegeta, refuses to ask the Earthlings to give more genki, knowing, because of Kaio-sama, that such an act would kill them. But that reminds Vegeta of their other option--
Porunga.
With their final wish, Son Goku's power is restored.
An easy enough task for Bro-runga.
And with a final push, and a wish for him to return as a good guy next time,
the Super Genki Dama filled with the dreams of humanity engulfs Majin Boo
and he is, at last, destroyed.
And with a final wish from Shen Long, the whole event is erased from the world's people.
So that all of them, even Majin Boo, can live happily ever after.
What's cut?
From DBZ 287, Boo's city life adventures are cut.
Including him beating up a street fighter for money (for ice cream)
later stopping the same fighter from robbing a jewelry store
and the unveiling of Great Saiyaman's new partner, Great Saiyaman II.
And finally, DBZ episode 288, where Goku is late to a party because he wants to make sure a baby dino is born safely, is entirely cut.
