Babidi calls out to the people of Earth with his intention to destroy Metro West if Trunks and the others do not show themselves.
"Son-kun, this is bad! They're going to blow up Capsule House!"

Without any other choice, Goku sends Trunks racing home to pick up the Dragon Radar, while he'll use Instantaneous Movement to distract Majin Boo for a little while.
Trunks is a good kid, so he does what he's told...

Going beyond-the-beyond a Super Saiyan, or as he's taken to calling it, Super Saiyan 3, Goku has unlocked a dangerous yet powerful new transformation. Kaio-sama, who is possibly the only person who knew Goku had/was developing this new form flatly disapproves. But c'mon...
Just look how goddamn awesome he looks.

in super doesn't use this transformation against black goku
