Son Goku has made it to the finals of the Anoyo-ichi Budokai! After besting West Galaxy's Malaiko, Goku advances to the final round where Kaio of the West is certain he'll meet Paikuhan.
So certain, in fact, that West Kaio makes a bet with our own North Kaio that if Goku wins, he'll give him his Kaio World. Kaio-sama likes this deal, given that Goku blew up his last Kaio World. (So it would make sense for Goku to win him a new one.)
Paikuhan gears up to face off against South Galaxy's Tolbee, but Goku decides not to watch.
He eats instead.
Grand Kaio is tickled by Goku. ("I love that guy!")
It's with certainty that Goku decides not to watch the second match of the semifinals, exclaiming, "I already know who's going to win." Like West Kaio, he places his bets on Paikuhan.
And they were both correct. Paikuhan advances to the finals.
With the final match soon underway, Kaio drags Goku into the ring by his meat. (lol)
Goku comes at Paikuhan with a punch!
... But Paikuhan doesn't even bother to dodge.
Goku catches onto Paikuhan's trick, and admits he isn't using his full power.
But Paikuhan isn't playing around!
Realizing he'll need to take Goku more seriously to win...
... Paikuhan removes his weighted gear.
Goku remarks that Paikuhan reminds him of Piccolo, who also got his blood pumping.
So Goku decides to take this match seriously, too.
