Dragon Ball Z ep 291 - Even Stronger!! Goku's Dream is Super-Huge

It's Oob vs Son Goku at the 28th Tenka-ichi Budokai~!!

After Goku requested that the wicked Majin Boo would be reborn as a good guy next time, King Yama heeded Goku's request and Oob was born. Ten years have come and gone since that fateful battle between Earth's heroes and the deadly Majin Boo that began at the Tenka-ichi Budokai... and now its epilogue takes place at that same tournament, with Goku in a fearsome battle against the reincarnation of Boo!

And Oob is even stronger than Goku expected.

Meanwhile, Mr. Satan, Mr. Boo, and Bay max-and-relax in Satan's dressing room. Satan isn't worried about who he'll have to fight in the final round... After all, no one is as powerful as Goku and his friends!

Then suddenly, the Budo Temple quakes, and Mr. Satan runs outside to see what's happening.

 And his worst fears are realized when he sees someone as strong, maybe stronger, than Goku!

As for Mr. A, this is the first erection he's had since Goku fought Piccolo.

Seeing the level of fighting going on in the ring, Captain Chicken and the revitalized Knock decide to get the heck out of here.

The longer Oob fights, Vegeta notices, the stronger he becomes. It's as if he's learning how to fight while in the middle of the match!

Goku leaps in the air, charging up a Kamehameha~!

... but only then it dawns on him, Oob can't fly.

So rather than win the match, Goku rescues Oob.

He sets Oob down in the center of the ring where he apologizes for saying those mean things earlier. (Y'know, when he called Oob's mom and dad big piles of poop.) Truth is, he only wanted to fight Oob at his full power, and now that he has, he wants to take Oob on as his student. Oob says he has to stay, so he can win the tournament for his family, but Goku says he'll get him plenty of money from Mr. Satan. But in exchange for this money and training, he's got to be the one to defend the Earth next time something evil threatens it!

Goku flies over to his friends and family to tell them he'll be living with Oob for awhile, so he can train him.

But little Pan doesn't want to see him go. She cries for him not to leave, and he says it won't be forever. She'll see him again!

"You promise?"

"I promise!"

Goku tells Goten and Trunks not to neglect their training - the Earth is relying on them to defend it, too!

And Pan promises to get even stronger, just like her Gramps!

Goku apologizes to Vegeta for getting him to enter the Budokai, only to leave before they can have a chance to fight. Vegeta smirks and says he understands - a puny tournament like this won't let either of them, or that Oob kid, truly run wild. (Given that the last time the three of them did that, they kind of... broke the Kaioshin Realm.)

With Oob on his back, Goku flies off for the South Island where Oob lives with his family. And as he disappears out of sight, it's Goku's friend, one of his very best friends, who truly understands his motivations.

"You're not just training that kid, the reincarnation of Boo, just for the sake of keeping peace."

"Say, Oob. Once your training is complete, let's you and I have a proper match against each other, okay?" "Okay!"

"To tell you the truth, that's what my biggest goal is! Ain't you excited, Oob?! To be able to come across someone to incredibly strong?!"

"Yes!!"

And with four people dropped out and the ring all-but destroyed, the 28th Tenka-ichi Budokai...

... is canceled!
